Founded in 2020 by Carmela Borst, Fabrício Cardoso, and Silvio Genesini, SoulCode was designed to provide technological qualification for non-obvious people and professions. Our mission is to qualify non-obvious people as technology professionals, develop digital skills, and support income generation.

Foundation of SoulCode Academy, with the mission to democratize digital education in Brazil.

Launch of the online platform with +15 careers and +2000 hours of content.

We started bootcamps in NGOs for Web Programming for young people to start their journey in technology.

2023

We reached +100 thousand students on the digital platform.

We have already qualified +4500 students in bootcamps and +130 thousand on online platforms.

Our founders

Carmela Borst

CEO

She is an expert in ESG, Technology, and Marketing. Her causes are education and female empowerment. She worked in the technology industry for over 25 years and was Vice President for Latin America at Oracle, Infor, and AON. She graduated in Business Administration from FEI, studied ESG at Harvard, Strategy at Stanford, and is a certified board member by IBGC. She is a board member of the NGOs Gerando Falcões, Casa do Zezinho, Instituto Ser+, Instituto Capim Santo, and a curator and partner of Cufa. She won the UN Women United States award in the ODS Quality Education.

Fabricio Cardoso

General Director

Expert in Technology and Digital Transformation. He has held leadership roles such as Managing Director LATAM at the Israeli company Kenshoo, Partner at EY, focusing on Digital Transformation. Before joining EY, he created the company InWave, focused on Technology, Digital Marketing, and e-Commerce. This company was acquired by EY in June 2015. He was also Director of Business Solutions and Channels at Microsoft, CRM Director, and Consulting Director at Oracle Brazil.

Silvio Genesini

Co-Founder and Advisor

Silvio Genesini is a board member of companies such as Anima, brMalls, Cnova Nv, Verzani & Sandrini, and Claranet Technologies. He is also an investor in startups, scaleups, and innovative companies. He is a board member of the NGO Gerando Falcões, an emeritus board member of the Conscious Capitalism Institute, a mentor at Endeavor, and a partner at Beatt, a digital and cultural transformation company. He was President of Grupo Estado, which publishes Estadão; President of Oracle Brazil, and Partner-Director at Accenture. He is a production engineer from the Polytechnic School of USP.
